Meet Ana Hernandez, M.S., CCC-SLP

Ana studied communication sciences and disorders at the University of Texas, assisting in research at the Developmental Stuttering Lab. She later received her master’s degree at UT Dallas.

In 2022, Ana faced a sudden brain tumor diagnosis, leading to a profound shift in perspective on speech therapy. Her recovery journey is uniquely shaped by her expertise as a speech therapist and serves as a valuable lens which she shares in speaking engagements and podcasts. Her personal experience in neurodivergence has influenced her approach, focusing more than ever on providing clients with tools to live more authentically, confidently, and independently.

Ana is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and actively contributes to the stuttering community. She serves on the CARE-S Task Force, is a Spero Ally of Stuttering, and partners with S.P.A.C.E. to Stutter. She is also a frequent CEU presenter for NSA events, facilitator for FRIENDS Chicago events, and a native Spanish speaker.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ana finds joy in pilates, classic books and exploring restaurants. She is often in Texas visiting her family and enjoying Texas queso.
